Responsible Use Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Cheater Detector AI checks publicly available dating-profile data for one person you describe. It is meant for adults who want clarity about a partner or about themselves. It must not be used to stalk, harass, intimidate or expose anyone, and a result is a starting point for a conversation, not proof. If you were searched and want your data removed, write to us at the address below.

1. Who may use the service

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You use the service for yourself, to answer a question about your own relationship or your own online presence. You do not run searches on behalf of third parties.
  • You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you live. Privacy and data laws differ by country and state.

2. What the service may be used for

  • Checking whether a partner you are in a relationship with appears to have a public dating profile.
  • Checking your own public dating footprint, for example after deleting an app, or whether your photos appear on profiles you did not create.
  • Checking a person you are about to meet from a dating app, to confirm their public profile looks consistent.

3. What the service must not be used for

We refuse, cancel and may report searches that are used to:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, blackmail or control another person, including a former partner.
  • Locate or monitor a person who has a restraining order, protection order or similar legal protection against you, or who has asked you not to contact them.
  • Search for anyone under 18.
  • Make decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance or any other eligibility. Cheater Detector AI is not a consumer reporting agency and its reports are not consumer reports under the US Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws.
  • Publish, share or forward a report or its photos to shame, expose or pressure the person searched.
  • Impersonate the person searched, create accounts in their name, or contact them pretending to be someone else.
  • Discriminate against a person because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, ethnicity or any other protected characteristic.

4. What a result is, and what it is not

  • A report lists public dating profiles that resemble the person you described. A match can be a lookalike, an old or abandoned profile, or a profile that uses someone's photos without permission.
  • No match means we found no public profile matching your details at that time. It does not mean that no profile exists.
  • A report never states, and must not be read as stating, that someone is unfaithful, dishonest or guilty of anything. What you do with the information is your decision and your responsibility.
  • We only work with publicly available profile data. We never log in to anyone's account, read private messages, track a phone or a location, or notify the person searched.

5. How we enforce this policy

We may decline a search, suspend or close an account, and withhold or delete a report when we have reason to believe this policy is being broken. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with law enforcement. The Terms of Service govern refunds in these cases.

6. If you were searched: ask us to remove your data

Anyone can ask us to remove data about them from our systems and exclude it from future reports. Email privacy-requests@cheaterdetector.ai with:

  • your first name, approximate age and the city or area you live in, so we can find the matching records;
  • one or more recent photos of your face, which we use only to find and remove the records that match you;
  • links to the public profiles concerned, if you know them.

We confirm receipt, act on a complete request within 30 days, and tell you what we removed. We do not tell you who, if anyone, searched for you, and we do not share your request with anyone. Photos you send us for this purpose are deleted once the request is closed.

The same address handles access, correction and deletion requests under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and similar laws, for both users and people who were searched.

7. Report misuse

If you believe someone is using Cheater Detector AI against this policy, write to privacy-requests@cheaterdetector.ai. Include what you know about the searches concerned and we will investigate.
